About the Scholarship
The objective of The Beyond Scholarship is to assist students with financial burdens that pose obstacles in achieving their full potential. The Beyond scholarship was founded by Lawrence native, Urales Vargas AKA Dj Buddha. As a successful music personality, DJ Buddha exemplifies that drive and a strong dedication to one's passions are the keys to success. The Beyond Scholarship committee is determined to help local students achieve their maximum potential by providing additional financial assistance to those who demonstrate a drive and passion for the arts, academics, athletics, music and/or other various interests.

 Eighth grade students going on to a private high school or Current private high school students or Current public high school students looking to transfer to a private high school
 Students experiencing financial difficulties
 Students with a minimum GPA of 2.85 or equivalent 
 Extracurricular Activity/Community Service/Work History (Highly Recommended)

 New Applicants
1) Complete attached application along with 500-word essay (max)
2) Provide a copy of most current report card / progress report
3) Provide minimum of 1 letter of recommendation from a professor and/or guidance counselor
